I have read the Divine Comedy in its entirety & The Inferno in numerous translations. None have been by Sayers. Have to say I'm a bit intrigued.

LeahBergen Ahh, I didn‘t know she had translated Dante! 1y
vivastory @LeahBergen It's interesting too because she passed away while translating the final book in The Divine Comedy. Her goddaughter finished the translation and when it was published it was reviewed as an improvement over the previous Paradise translation, also pub by Penguin, several years prior 1y

"The best revenge is not to be like your enemy." Sage advice for work ?

LitStephanie I remember the writings of the Stoics were my favorite in philosophy class in college. Lots of good advice, although much would be hard to follow. 1y
Leftcoastzen Anything in there about beating Badgers in overtime? 😁 1y

This is such a beautiful book! Excited to dig in, but also glad I got it from the library rather than paying for it! It‘s gorgeous quality with all the colour illustrations I can see why it was expensive
