so-so

An okay read but not more.
Maybe I am expecting too much but to be true, this one bored me partwise. It took more than 150 pages until I considered the story suspenseful. And then there was too much unrealistic twist and turn.

It shall be a great surprising construction but it‘s only bloodless and convertible.

It‘s “Fitzek” that sells, not the plot inside.

I‘m sure I will have forgotten the book that reminds me of some of his others, soon.

mellissimo Genau so ging es mir bei 'Das Paket'! Ich war so neugierig was in diesem Paket sein könnte, dass ich das Buch unbedingt lesen musste obwohl ich eigentlich keine Krimileserin bin. 😅 Aber ich fand die ganze Geschichte auch so erzwungen überraschend. Es machte alles wenig Sinn, Hauptsache es gab eine Wendung nach der nächsten. 5y

Buechersuechtling Au wei, ja. „Das Paket“ hab ich auch in schlechter Erinnerung. Auch „Flugangst 7A“ war eher so geht so. Das letzte Buch von ihm, das ist richtig gut fand, war „Acht Nacht“. 5y

Buechersuechtling @PickwickPlockPlock Seems it‘s every single year the same. I fall for hayfever hook, line and sinker. I just didn‘t think of it because I didn‘t consider it the right weather until the day before yesterday my eyes started to itch. (edited) 5y

Sleeping in, waking up slowly, sunshine outside, books, coffee.

Perfect for me at the moment. 🥰

Being halfway through I like the book although I feel it doesn‘t hook me as much as some of his other books did. Don‘t know why but I think for a psychothriller there is a bit too much physical violence that – at the moment – does – not yet – make sense.

Look, what my sister bought in the beginning of December, read, and afterwards gifted to me after I threw a tantrum because she had snatched the “special edition” unintendedly. ❤️

Until today I simply forgot to tell. But I will now start to read. Let‘s see when I will be done. Many of his books I simply can‘t put down.

The first time I saw Sebastian Fitzeks new book on display was at the airport in November.

Now I refuse to read any of the numerous reviews I see in papers, magazines and supplements because a tiny part of me speculates I might find it under my Christmas tree 🎄 – and I want to read it unbiased. The title tells enough about where the plot takes place. I don‘t want to know more. 🤫
