Harper's Bazaar: 150 Years
Harper's Bazaar: 150 Years: The Greatest Moments | Glenda Bailey
2 posts
Americas first fashion magazine, Harpers Bazaar has showcased the visions of legendary editors, photographers, and stylists and featured the works of noted writers since 1867. From its beginnings as a broadsheet aimed at the rising leisure class, the publication has since transformed into a magazine devoted to examining the lives of women through the lens of fashion. In celebration of the magazines 150th anniversary in 2017, Harpers Bazaar: 150 Years captures the greats who have shaped the magazine over these decades. Harpers Bazaar: 150 Years includes the most iconic pieces of work from the magazine's archive: more than 150 photographs and covers and 50 text excerpts, including articles, poems, and works of fiction. Organized chronologically, the selections showcase the breadth of creativity and artistry that has been published in the pages of the magazine for more than a century and prove that Harpers Bazaar is more than just a fashion magazine.

#SellMeACoat #WinterWonderland A beautiful coat from the October 1957 issue of Harper‘s Bazaar.Back in my early days of thrift shopping, you would occasionally find lovely 1940s and 1950s items, now it seems like it was a dream.Lilli Ann was a wonderful brand, I still have a couple of her jackets. Her designs were instantly recognizable if you had seen a few. Please ,sell me this coat!

TrishB I love that coat 💕 5y

My #HelloFrom box was so cool! My person is from Michigan but there wasn‘t a note to know who to thank - @bullbunny can you help?! There were even more treats that had to go in the fridge to cool down, a book I‘ve been eyeballing and a local one that looks super cool too!! Thank you kind Michiganer!!

bullbunny No problem! Love to help!! @Amanda61 looky look! You did great! 6y
heikemarie Thank you @Amanda61 !!! That Harper‘s Bazaar is so neat too! 💜 6y
Amanda61 @heikemarie Sorry there was no note. I was panic mailing to make sure it was there on time 😆 Really glad though that you liked it. If a note had been included it would have said Bird Box was written by a guy that lives just outside Detroit, the Farmer is a classic Michigan book and all the foods are made in Michigan (Better Made chips have a cult following here). The Petoskey stone can only be found in Michigan and people will avidly hunt them. 6y

heikemarie @Amanda61 it‘s not a problem at all! I just wanted to thank the right person ☺️ the Stone was (probably permanently) borrowed by my best friend‘s 3 year old, who is obsessed with it and FaceTimes me to show me where it is on her dresser. So the avid love of them might be catching! 6y
heikemarie @Amanda61 just an update - those pretzels were actually life changing!! Everything was delicious but for some reason those pretzels... 😋 (edited) 6y
Amanda61 @heikemarie So glad you liked them! A local shop serves them cheese and the combo is delicious!! 😋 6y
