I‘m home sick today and it‘s the first day of summer break, so the kiddos brought me their chapter books so we could have a read-a-thon

Second in the Zoey and Sassafras series, in which Zoe helps magical creatures in need using a very scientific approach. This time Zoey needs to find a way to prevent mold growth on a monster‘s fur. A great chapter book series.

17/20 for #bookspinbonanza, 7/15 for #15Books15Weeks, and this gets me to the top of Mt Kilimanjaro for my unofficial Mount TBR challenge!

My daughter‘s #bookhaul is more impressive than mine! Some from me, one from her nana, some from her favorite aunt, and the Goddess Girls are from Santa. Merry Christmas reading!

This series of magical science stories for elementary students has yet to disappoint. Endearing characters and fun storylines are seamlessly interwoven with realistic, kid-friendly experiments and the scientific method. My kids are learning a lot AND the books are well-written and intriguing on their own—sort of a different take on “science fiction”.

emtobiasz I‘ve been really, really impressed with this series so far! 6y
saresmoore @emtobiasz I‘ve tried so many similar books and these are the best, by far. They‘ve inspired lots of kid-led experiments! 6y
