pick4/5 Really loved both the characters and activist theme, looking at what had changed in radicalism between the 70s and 90s and what had stayed the same. Spiotta really knows how to craft a good sentence- so much packed into each one and they still manage to sound simple. Not easy to do. I just wanted more book- felt like many portions were edited down a good deal.
I went to Half Price Books to find goodies for my #cupidgonepostal match and picked up a couple of things for myself. But in my defense, there was a killer sale and I got all these for less than my match's!
pickI read this for my Protest Literature class. If you enjoy conspiracy theories, underground protest groups, and Beach Boys references, this just might be the book for you.
No #24in48 for me because I have a travel day for next week's work trip, but here's the beginning attempt to get through some of the older releases on my shelves! About aging and radicalism and the law--first Spiotta I've read and I'm impressed!
