Pretty sure I read the Nesbits as a kid but can't quite remember.

I found this podcast about the YA fantasy of my (and the hosts') childhood last month while I was rereading Tamora Pierce. Now it's got me on a kick of rereading all kinds of things! #kidlit #fantasy
pickThis #kidlit classic has been on my list for a while, so I'm glad I finally picked it up. Published in 1907, it follows 3 siblings and a friend as they spend the summer discovering a mysterious castle, magical objects, and unintended consequences. My library edition has fantastic illustrations as well.

From the moment I was born, my father has filled my life with stories. The books he read as bedtime stories to myself and my two sisters every night for years, the family stories of grandparents, great grandparents, and even further back where an indelible aspect of my childhood. This love for stories has grown with me for my entire life, and I will forever be grateful to an amazing father.
