As residents, it didn't take long for Buffy, Willow, and Spike to find that there was something more behind the internment of the magical population in the government's 'Safe Zone' camp in the Grand Canyon. When Buffy reveals to the crew that the true purpose of the camp is to bring about the elimination of all supernatural powers worldwide, the Scoobies begin their mission. They will manufacture a great escape from the camp and follow the obscure trail of the Big Bad to its end. Extraordinarily, the trail seems to lead higher and higher in the ranks of the US government...

I finished season 12, the final season, and through my seething disappointment, all I could think was, "why did they bother, when season 11 offered a far more satisfying ending for all the characters?" It felt so complete at that point.

My advice, skip the 4-issue arc of season 12 and go out on the high note of season 11! I loved this comic book series, but I'm creating a mental block for that last season.

There are a few incredibly moving scenes in this volume. Buffy, having given up her superpowers to escape an internment camp for people with magic, sees a guy harassing a woman. She moves in to fight this huge guy. At first you think she's lost, but then she's out of control beating the shit out of the guy, and breaking down. Faith arrives out of the blue to help Buffy just when Buffy needs her most. Plus, Spike and Buffy are too cute together.

Honestly one of the things in life that gives me the most joy is Faith showing up to help Buffy. I am admittedly also a big Spuffy fan, but sometimes I think, well if Spike died then Buffy could be with her soulmate Faith?? Faith + Buffy = ❤ #Comics #BtVS

I knew who the bad guy was but not why they were doing it. Too obvious. I still think it‘s weird she is with Spike of all vampires.

Not gonna lie, I squeed a little when my city showed up in a Buffy comic! 😄

Bookzombie That‘s so cool! 6y
Eyelit @Bookzombie it really is! A few panels later they had the gang on the bridge watching the bats (with a supernatural context, of course) 😄 6y
Soubhiville Yay! One of my favorite things about Austin! I used to live on Rainey St and watched the bats fly by my balcony. 🦇❤️ 6y
