Pickpick

Insect world CRICKETS by Mari Schuh is a nonfiction (NF) picture book. This book is about crickets and the way they mate, also the book talks about the sounds that crickets produce and why. Lastly the book ends with the birthing process of newborn crickets. TA strategies RA, GR, and SR will work well for the book. Teachers can play a YouTube video for the students to hear the sounds that crickets make. https://youtu.be/t75GZr-gdLE

erin.yarbrough I love the idea of a nonfiction picture book like this! I‘m sure the creepy crawlers on the front would really get the student‘s attention! 6y
BriannaR Great nonfiction story. I'll be great to use during a science when learning about insects. 6y
