I would read part of this book to my students and then have them choose one or two facts that stuck out to them and write or draw as an activity.

This book contains a ton of scientific detail regarding elephants that are supported by real pictures, scientific images and graphs, and diagrams.

The thing I really like about this book is that it would enhance the learning experience of students learning about elephants. It gives a real-life glimpse into that particular field of science. It is written in such a way that the book would compliment other facts and figures style reading

This book is purely non fiction as she's telling her story of her journey from youth to making her discoveries. Very interesting book with a very interesting lay out.
