Pickpick

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐A delightful, captivating read. This book has been on my TBR shelf for a couple of years now and my only regret is that I didn't pick it up sooner to read. I loved everything about it from the insights into life in the 1950s to the excerpts from advice columns/books at that time...to the backstories of all the characters and how they were all interwoven into this gossipy read. It's a longer than usual read (around 500 pages) but I was hooked.

On my way to Oslo for the weekend! This historical novel feels like it‘s trying too hard to be historical. Things are just pointed out a little bit too clearly, things that wouldn‘t be remarked upon if it had actually been written in the late 1900‘s and the 1950‘s.

kspenmoll Enjoy! 6y
