I won this book in a goodreads giveaway, and although I don't read much romance what caught my attention in the description was the paranormal mystery of the book. Although the there was a romance I didn't feel like it was at the forfeit of the story it was I felt a nice bonus to the story and added to the mystery. I love that it wasn't too over the top mushy and that in the end it tied in with the past and fate. Need the next book in the series.

Because sometimes I need a light read in between so I don‘t get in a slump. This is my new method for not getting to a slump and it seems to be working

Another enjoyable B&N Readout this month! I didn‘t really investigate because the blurb was right up my alley (paranormal investigation in the English countryside, yes please!), so the sexy time bits definitely surprised me at first! 🙊 I really enjoyed this and got frustrated by some chapter cliffhangers. More than once I wasn‘t sure I could wait until the next day. I am so down with Readouts! #readouts #serialreads

sprainedbrain Yes! I loved this one, too... and a few times I was tempted to buy the damn book because of the cliffhangers. 😂 6y

This month‘s B&N Readout book wrapped up today. I really enjoyed this one - it‘s a historical romance with a bit of paranormal. A very nice diversion, and I think I may continue the series eventually. Sometimes I‘m just in the mood for this kind of thing. 😃

If you‘re interested, the whole book is available to read for free on Nook or the Nook app until the end of February.

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2

JaimeDawn I‘ve never really thought about the read outs on nook. This one sounds pretty good 6y

Anyone else reading this month‘s B&N Readouts book?

I‘m kind of embarrassed by how eagerly I‘m awaiting a new chapter ever day... I‘m not sure it‘s even that good, but I‘m sucked in enough that I have considered buying the book more than once because I have zero chill.

robinb I‘ve read some of her books. She‘s good! 😊 6y
SaturnDoo I read the first chapter and then forgot about it. I dont look at the B & N stuff on my Nooks 🙄I read my epubs and use my other apps and totally space out the B & N stuff. 6y

sprainedbrain @SaturnDoo I don‘t even have a Nook, but I have the app on my phone. 6y
SaturnDoo @sprainedbrain see 😂😂I have 2 Nooks and should be ashamed that I never look at the B&N stuff because it's right there in my face and still totally forgot. I did like it though. Thanks for the reminder maybe I can catch up. 6y
sprainedbrain @SaturnDoo I have skipped the Readout for the last few months because I wasn‘t interested... this one sucked me in! Lol 6y

This part of today‘s selection made me giggle. Olivia‘s mother has her priorities in order. 👊🏻

Here are the bookish (mostly) parcels received today. Two visible ones are Goodreads wins, the other along with the Godiva chocolates and my favourite Aloe socks is the next #TheCanadianTour selection sent by @Jazzper2

(Oh yeah, and my annual Blaze calendar. Who doesn't like puppers pimping mountain rescue groups? 😂)

LeahBergen I‘m looking forward to The Mitford Murders 👍🏻 6y
drokka @LeahBergen This ARC is a large text version. I'm used to 6 or 8 font, so this is going to be interesting. Looking forward to it though. Yesterday I couldn't decide on what to read, now I can't decide which to read first 😂 6y
DeborahSmall Love the calendar 💙 @LeahBergen I searched for a signed copy of The Mitford Murders for you but it sold out everywhere 💕 6y
