Amiable My cousin lives near Virginia Beach, and we toured Williamsburg when we visited him. I thought it was a very cool place! I imagine it's awesome to work there. 6y

umbrellagirl @Mollyanna Thank you! I‘d only been here in the summer, but the weather is clear and cool now, things aren‘t too crowded, and many of the buildings are decorated with boughs and wreaths and it‘s so festive. I feel like we‘ve extended Christmas a little longer. 6y

For a year, before transferring to a school closer to home, I attended the College of William and Mary. Colonial Williamsburg is such a magical place, and it's somewhere you often hear the #12drummersdrumming

mabell @LeahBergen Definitely do, if you ever get the chance! In the meantime, I really enjoy their podcasts. They are years old, and I don't know if they are putting out new ones, but they give a detailed "look" at various aspects of the life there. 6y

mabell @MaureenMc Perfect! I didn't realize you were a history major! Did you focus on a time period/locale? 6y

MaureenMc @mabell Sort of. I wrote my two major seminar papers on the dropping of the atomic bomb in WW2 and a National Security Council document believed to have been the impetus to the Cold War. Although I tended to enjoy my early European classes more. 🤷‍♀️😁 6y
