Youngblood Hawke, a Novel

To honor the passing of Mr. Herman Wouk I‘m gonna read three of my favorite books written by him. This is my first and favorite. If you haven‘t read this book before you‘re really missing a masterful work of fiction. After this one Winds of War and War and Remembrance to follow. He truly is a master story teller.

This book is absolutely epic. I‘ve read all of Mr. Wouk‘s books and I believe this is my favorite. His ability to craft beautiful dialogue between characters is an art few do better. Best book I‘ve read this year. Classic.

I read this 35 years ago and have decided to pick it up again. Funny how much a person forgets after so long. I love how Mr. Wouk doesn‘t just develop his major characters but you learn to love and hate the minor ones as well
