This book was a pretty decent read. Some of it was a bit slow, but I still wanted to keep reading. I quite enjoyed the ending as well. A solid middle of the road, 3 star good book.

What a magical story! Love how historical Bess Houdini is interwoven with a more fanciful storyline. Terrifically interesting and fun to read.

My 53rd finished book of 2016! I had to cut off the top of my review but it says I loved this book and I had tears at the end. It was a very fun read. 📖🔮📚

I really enjoyed this book. If historical fiction isn't your thing it may read a little slow to you but it's well worth it. We follow the widow of Harry Houdini, Bess who was promised before her husband passed away that he would try and reach her from the other side. It's one hell of a journey.

What has she been doing? She had betrayed every moral code she believed in; she had spit in the face of the God she'd been taught to worship. She wondered if the girl she'd been a year go would ever have imagined she would stoop so low.

Cancelled my date with The Simpsons on FXX this Friday night to read this. Great story :)
