Barnaby Never Forgets
Barnaby Never Forgets | Pierre Collet-Derby
1 post | 2 read
Meet Barnaby, an unforgettable bunny (with a few blind spots)! Barnaby has a very good memory. He remembers to brush his teeth and feed his grasshoppers, and he always, always remembers when it s ice-cream night. So how can someone with such a good memory forget something so important? As Barnaby soon finds out, sometimes the thing that s slipped your mind is right under your nose (or right above it). Lovable, scatterbrained Barnaby will win the hearts of adults and kids alike in Pierre Collet-Derby s funny and familiar tale of remembering what you ve forgotten and learning to laugh at yourself."

Barnaby Never Forgets is about a rabbit that never forgets anything but can't possibly find his glasses. Then he ends up at school on the weekend. This F story shows children that anyone can make mistakes, like forgetting what day it is. This would be a great RA book. I would use ESOL standard #3 & #4 to enhance positive self esteem & to link text to prior experiences such as forgetting their homework or lunch.

LaurenR The UDL I would use is 9.3: Develop self-assessment and reflection. This story could help students to reflect on a time where they may have missed something or misplaced something & everything still turned up fine in the end. 7y
