Monster's New Undies | Samantha Berger

These are my undies! A sweet work of art! Uh-oh! My undies! They just fell apart. Monster is JUST FINE with his old undies, thank you very much. But when his undies fall apart, what's a monster to do? His mommy takes him shopping, of course! But finding the perfect pair of undies is not going to be easy. . . Come on already! Can't you just see? There are no new undies just right for me. Uh-oh! Will monster ever find the perfect pair of undies? With hilarious rhymes from the celebrated author of Crankenstein, Samantha Berger, and bright and innovative illustrations from Tad Carpenter, this bouncy tale of self-reliance is full of warmth and humor.

4 🌟 Lots and Lots of fun. And lots and lots of undies. Some parents worry about “potty” humor when it comes to underwear books. That type of humor is absent in this work. Just the joy of finding a new pair of undies that fit after the others rip and fall off. The little monsters are adorable, the rhymes and cadence in line, and overall this is a fun a joyful read.

There are just a few days left to enter the #monsterMadness2017 photo challenge. There are prizes and I do take late entries up until the 13th.

The grand prize is monstrously fun. It includes 4 books and something hand made. Maybe two things hand made if I get my sewing machine back out tomorrow. And then other fun goodies. I'd show it off but it's not wrapped yet.

Monster‘s New Undies written by the award-winning author Samantha Berger and illustrated by Tad Carpenter is F picture book that would be great for Kindergarten age students and best used as a RA or S. It offers LOTS of humor that kids will love and enjoy and will make a awesome book for your classroom library. The UDL I would use for this reading is 3.1 by asking students if they have ever had to do something they didn‘t want to do

WendyP But once completing the task, it ended up not being so bad. We would then begin reading the book and the children could relate the text to our conversation. I would use the ESOL Strategies #4 and once again have students talk about prior knowledge on things they have had to do and didn‘t want to do at the beginning. The website provided will take you to a brief overview of the book (edited) 7y
DrSpalding Just from looking at the front cover, I would reconsider the RF genre. Book review sites can be very helpful. 7y
