Things Are What You Make of Them
Things Are What You Make of Them: Life Advice for Creatives | Adam J. Kurtz
Insights and inspiration for anyone who makes art (or anything else) From the creative mind and heart of designer Adam J. Kurtz comes this upbeat rallying cry for creators of all stripes. Expanding on a series of popular essays, this handwritten and heartfelt book shares wisdom and empathy from one working artist to others. Perforated tear-and-share pages make it easy to display themost crucial reminders or to pass a bit of advice on to someone who needs it. As wry and cheeky as it is empathic and empowering, this deceptively simple, vibrantly full-color book will be a touchstone for writers, artists, entrepreneurs, and anyone else who wants to be more creative--even when it would be easier to give up and act normal.

Great Instagram live feed of Adam's talk about his latest book. It sounds interesting....funny anecdotal type book. He was live from The Strand bookstore for NY Pride. Great talk.
Did anyone catch it?

Three pretty new books I‘m hauling home from work that I have no time to read. Working in a library is both a blessing and a curse 😂

readinginthedark Seriously, I always have way too many library books at home! 😂 6y

This is a good book to keep as a little pep talk when you start a new project or begin a new career. I think it‘s useful to everyone, even non-creatives. Presented in a fun sticky note-like style.

At the bookstore before this evening's festivities, and @MrBook bought me this awesome book written by an artist for artists! (And for creatives in general). Yay! Can't wait to read it. 😊👌🏻🎨
