Despite the freaky cover...I really loved this volume, getting background on a number of characters, a couple more secrets spilled, but otherwise what felt like a needed pause from the nonstop forward action to flesh out the players. Have already put the next volume on hold at the library. 🤖

In this story we get backstory for individual characters about where they were when the robot attacks happened. These sidelines gave some insight to the overall and made me even more interested in a few characters. Driller's character is becoming my favorite.

Kenyazero Driller will probably continue to hold that favorites spot! 3y

I didn't find this one quite as compelling as previous entries in the series - I think bc too much of the narrative consisted of characters' background stories. Nonetheless, I will definitely be continuing with the series. I have to know what happens!

I read this for my #astronomy read for the #OWLSmagicalreadathon

If you are looking for a story where treating anyone as an object has no consequences, do not read this book. If you want to read a gorgeously drawn graphic novel that looks at the complex dynamics of rage/despair and how that effects how we treat others, read this book.

Descender keeps getting better & better. Really. What started as a very good, beautifully illustrated story keeps pulling you in deeper, increasing the stakes, & building the tension. And the artwork—every panel demands attention. So, this Volume delves into backstories. We learn more about Tim-21 & 22, Andy & Effie, Telsa, and, perhaps most importantly, Driller & Scoops. Incredible storytelling with exquisite artwork. Really a great read. ❤️it.

Husband looked at my Litsy feed and said, “You read a lot.” He‘s not wrong. Adding another one—Descender Volume 3 is my Saturday morning read.

Clwojick Hahah. Nolan jokes that I move so many books in and out of this house at such an alarming rate that it's like they're illegal. #libraryloans #litsygifts #ebaybuys #thriftstorefinds the list goes on and on. 6y
