TheAromaofBooks This is a bit random, but since I know you collect P&P editions... do you have the OwlCrate paperback that came out last year? If not, I would love to send it to you, as I do not think I am going to keep my copy!! 1y
CrowCAH @TheAromaofBooks yes, the purple cover. I ended up purchasing the OwlCrate box just for that edition alone. Thanks so much for thinking of me and the P&P collection!!! ☺️ (ps it‘s still one of the covers I need to take a picture of and add to Litsy) 1y
TheAromaofBooks I thought I would check with you before sending it to a different new home! 😂 I'm still not over how many P&P covers there are out there!!! 1y
CrowCAH @TheAromaofBooks gosh, I know! There‘s still plenty out there for me to add, too! 1y

First two reads of 2019. Reading selections from the #TBR pile. Mary Bennett yet another Austen ‘sequel‘. Interesting but I didn‘t like the way the best loved characters were portrayed, although most lived ‘Happily ever after‘ by the end.
Really enjoyed The Fall, kept me guessing.

Expressive prose and imaginative plot. Unfortunately, there was too much happening to too many characters, making the final execution feel all over the place. While I liked some aspects of the story, I feel if the author could have sacrificed a little more content, it would have read more smoothly.

Pickpick

A continuation of the lives of the Bennet sisters from Pride and Prejudice, specifically centering around the often ignored Miss Mary Bennet. A few weird side stories, otherwise a good read. If you are a Jane Austen fan and wondered how the Bennet sisters faired after the end of Pride and Prejudice, it is an interesting narrative. Author Colleen Mccullough is a favorite.
