My father got this for me for my birthday. I had mentioned it to him just once and so briefly. The fact that he listens and understands me so well is everything. 💛

Gotta love break time. The only problem with poetry is I need a dictionary because I'm not familiar with a lot of words she uses, but I do want to read more by her!

Just the introduction to this book has been interesting. It talks about Emily Dickinson and her fondness for birds with snippets of poetry and letters she had written. Other than reading Shel Silverstein as a kid, I haven't been this excited to read poetry and I do hope I enjoy it.

I have never read any Emily Dickinson before 🙈, but for work they want us to familiarize ourselves with areas we aren't familiar in and I chose poetry. I almost read Milk and Honey, but I really did not like it that much. (I'm also the one who tells the parents what it's about when their pre-teen/teen daughters want it.)
