Views from a Window Seat: Thoughts on Writing and Life
Views from a Window Seat: Thoughts on Writing and Life | Jeannine Atkins

Every writer needs inspiration, whether composing fiction, poetry, or fact-based work for an audience of children or adults. Both inspiration and company, Views from a Window Seat: Thoughts on Writing and Life poses and answers questions such as: How do we decide the best way to begin a book? How do we keep up our momentum during the long middle? What are some ways to know we've reached an ending? How do we tell the truth?

When traveling for work, I always get a window seat. Thankfully I‘m not traveling again for a month or so. Instead I‘m contemplating my own little window seat from home. (And I channeled @Cinfhen when I picked up flowers over the weekend!!) My background music is Melissa Etheridge.

Cinfhen Flowers are fabulous 💛🧡💛🧡so cheerful ☺️😁🥳 5y
KarenUK Buying yourself flowers is a great bit of self-care!💕 I do it most weeks... just bought myself some lilac tulips yesterday 😊🌷💜 5y

My son drew this sweet picture of his OC (original character) Elyshaa for an art challenge. Her set-up looks suspiciously like my own window seat.

britt_brooke Wow, this is fantastic!! 💚💚💚 7y
