#wondrouswednesday @Eggs

1) the epigenetics revolution
2+3) the last was How Not to Give a F*ck, it was a bit repetitive, I could figure out how it works from the flow chart in one of the first chapters
4) There are two books I started before having children, so 14+ years - - on the other hand, they are probably a bail, but until I discovered Litsy I thought I had to finish every book I had started. Now I know it's okay to bail.
5) @nelehelen

Deifio I used to try to finish every book, too! Now I feel like my free time is too valuable to waste on books I don't enjoy. 😘 5y
Eggs I‘m intrigued by epigenetics... 5y
Eggs I can relate to the “book-finishing “ concept 5y
nelehelen Same! I used to always finish books.. i actually still kinda do. I need to stop doing that haha. Thanks for the tag!! 5y
RadicalReader At times it is a wonderful feeling to bail on a book 5y

Mehso-so

The author did a great job, especially in the beginning, of breaking down and explaining some really tough concepts, but toward the end I think her explanations got a little bogged down in complicated acronyms, and the chapter about bees had some factual inaccuracies that took away from the strength of her arguments. Pic is of a DNA experiment I do with my students in lab.

TBR books are now being stored with historical fiction... got all four of these from half priced books for $30. All are on my TBR list. I've been searching for The Emperor of All Maladies for over a year now! 1 biography (Magellan), 1 book about cancer, 1 about the Black Plague, and 1 about epigenetics. Books to the left are the St. Mary's Chronicles #bookhaul #nonfiction
