Murderous Mayhem at Honeychurch Hall
Murderous Mayhem at Honeychurch Hall: A Honeychurch Hall Mystery | Hannah Dennison
4 posts | 4 read | 1 to read
When the only copy of Ravished, Iris Stanfords new manuscript, never arrives at her London publishers office, her daughter Kat investigates the tiny local village post office, where it appears the package never left the building. Iris is on tenterhooksnot only is her novel gone with the wind, but shes deathly afraid that Muriel Jarvis, the postmistress and notorious busybody, will expose her secret identity as the bestselling romance writer Krystalle Storm. Meanwhile, Muriel has her own problems with the sudden death of her husband Fred, which has left her heavily in debt. In the spine-tingling climax, both past and present collide as Kat fights for her life and those she holds most dear, dancing once again with the dark forces lurking behind the grandeur of Honeychurch Hall. This nail-biting addition to Hannah Dennison's Honey Church Hall mystery series, Murderous Mayhem at Honeychurch Hall is not to be missed.

Actually terrible. Was nearly a bail but I kept skim reading to find out how it was resolved. And the answer was: badly. So bad. Characters are horrible, huge chunks of backstory missing, the mystery is not well thought out or put together and there are so many subplots meandering thought too. Bad. Times.

Kaye 👍👍. Two thumbs up for truthful reviews, instead of the namby pamby candy coated stuff. If it‘s no good, I like someone brave enough to tell me so I don‘t waste my money on a crappy book. Salute 6y
Verity @Kaye this was the author‘s second chance with me - I discovered mid way through that I‘d DNF‘d one from the authors other series a couple years back. I‘m annoyed I read it so I wanna make sure no one ride makes the same mistake! 6y
Kaye Good for you 👏 6y

New #bedtimebook. I have high hopes for a nice, easy-to-read cozy crime. Fingers crossed. #cozycrime

LeahBergen This looks like fun. 👍🏻 6y
Verity I‘m hoping so @LeahBergen - I‘m hoping it‘ll fill the Beaton gap in my reading now that I‘m far too aware of the formula in Agatha Raisin and Hamish McBeth! 6y
