I‘m not sure if I will get around to reading this one before October ends but it seems a good match for the #death prompt. I like the tagline, “He‘s dead. He stinks. All he wants is a friend.”

Book 2 in Halfoweenathon-3 challenges: took placed in Autumn, published within last 5 y/s & I think she is an indie author.Crow is like a zombie child but he doesn't eat humans.Through a lot of adventure he'll discover what happened to him. I don't want to spoil this cute story. It reminded me Tim Burton's Frankenweenie movie. I don't know if it gives the correct message about death to children.3.4⭐️I'm not an expert in children's book.Love Melody

Avanders I love your composition! 😍 5y

The audio book of this rather creepy story is great. My kid keeps asking if I would tell him what he died of if he comes back to life.(the mom in the story is over protective and refuses to tell the boy how he died) The fact that my nine year old worries about what I would do tells me the story really works for him. Caution: if your kid worries about bad things happening to them, or is easily creeped out this is not a good book for him/ her.
