#WeeklyForecast - one week until October's books get added and look - there is actually a TINY BIT OF SPARE SPACE on the Windowsill of Optimism!!! This past week has been absolute madness and this week shows no real signs of that letting up, so I am wedging in reading wherever I can, but there has definitely been a big drop-off on my social media/book review action! Only so much bandwidth in my brain 😂

@Cinfhen

janeycanuck I really love the nickname Windowsill of Optimism. I may have to “leverage“ it for myself. 2y
TheAromaofBooks @janeycanuck - Thank you!! It's REALLY helped me this year to have my immediate TBR/challenge books all in one place, very visible. Of course I'm always hopelessly behind, which is where the optimism part comes in 😂 2y
julieclair I really need to set up my own equivalent of your Window of Optimism. Right now, I have little stacks of the current month‘s books all over the house, which leaves me feeling kind of scatterbrained. 🤪 2y

TheAromaofBooks @julieclair - This year I have put them all in one place, and then I also have each of these books in my jar and draw from it at random to see which of these comes next. So it's a mix of “assignments“ and randomness, with a splash of mood reading if I feel like it since I seem to always have several genres going on here at once 😂 I'm reading from this for October, then clearing the decks - November is going to be focused on completing series ⬇ 2y
TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) since I seem to be embroiled in WAY TOO MANY and then December will be fluffy Christmas/holiday romances for #WinterGames - I'll never actually finish my TBR, but it has been fun to feel like I'm making some progress on it!! 2y
julieclair I‘ll never actually finish my TBR either…. and I think I actually like it that way. I like the idea of a random draw for the books without fixed “read by” dates, such as my IRL book clubs. Thanks for the inspiration! 😀 2y

Mehso-so

This book was alright. Typical 80s male protagonist, but I liked the girl more. She definitely saved it for me, and this story reminded me a lot of something she‘d do now.
