The latest issue goes deeper into the strange prehistoric-like world the girls end up in. There's cultural references, parallels to biblical tales, and the usual awkward experiences of being a middle school aged girl. That's what I love about Brian K. Vaughan's work. While the extraordinary circumstances of the plot go on, the characters remain very human with a range of experiences and emotions that are complex and relatable. #insomniareads

I think tonight is going to be an insomnia reading night. Can I blame news related stress? I think that's what caused it. Starting off my "Read and Watch TV Until You Either Pass Out or You Have To Start Your Day" marathon with the latest Paper Girls, which so far continues to be awesome.
