I only read Kresleys story In this book. I was excited to finally get more Murdoch and while I wasn‘t immensely dissatisfied I did feel like I was shorted a real story. Most of it was recaps of previous books from his point of view and very little creation of his own story. He wasn‘t a terrible man. All in all it was just meh.

Ugh. I dunno. There's not really any of the problematic stuff in this one. The dude is just an asshole and the heroine is kinda whiny about like, everything. Meh...

LA1 Hmmmmm...reading it now and it is definitely not like the others. I‘m only on chapter 15, so a little left. I am curious as to how they will make it work, that‘s what pushing me through right now. We‘ll see.... 5y
everlocalwest @LA1 Are you listening to the Fated Mates podcast? When they put this book into perspective re: its spot in the world building it becomes more interesting. But yeah, this pair will never be a fave. 5y

What a boring book. Cole earned points by me with her contemporary series "Gamemaker" but this one was trash. ?and ? meet in a moment where she needs help. They get intimate (sort of) and then the misunderstandings begin. The characters think something and say something else. So they end up tangled in trouble they can only blame themselves for. So predictable!
It contains another story so the book doesn't look like a 1 Euro ? on the shelf.
