Burning Chrome | William Gibson
2 posts | 18 read | 8 to read
Best-known for his seminal sf novel Neuromancer, William Gibson is actually best when writing short fiction. Tautly-written and suspenseful, Burning Chrome collects 10 of his best short stories with a preface from Bruce Sterling, now available for the first time in trade paperback. These brilliant, high-resolution stories show Gibson's characters and intensely-realized worlds at his absolute best, from the chip-enhanced couriers of "Johnny Mnemonic" to the street-tech melancholy of "Burning Chrome."

I am posting one book per day from my extensive to-be-read collection. No description or reason for wanting to read the book. Some are old and some will be new. Don't judge me - I have a lot of books.
Day 202

I'm not totally sure I haven't already read this. Several years ago I went on a Gibson jag and read a number of his novels and short stories from various collections.

Buechersuechtling Giiiiibson‼️😍 *fangirling* (Only in case that William Gibson is the same William Gibson who wrote “Pattern Recognition”❓ Is he❓ And if he is, have you already read the related trilogy [“Blue-Ant”-trilogy] and therefore can tell me if the other 2 books are worth reading❓ I heard, they would be not …) 3y
RamsFan1963 @Buechersuechtling Yes it's the same Gibson. I read Pattern Recognition and its sequel Spook Country, I like them both. I have Zero History on my TBR shelves. I hope to get to it eventually. 3y
