In 1917 Our Lady appeared in Fatima, Portugal for six consecutive months, from May to October to three shepherd children: Lucia dos Santos, Francisco and Jacinta Marto. They were ten, nine and seven years of age respectively. Basing much of his book on The Memoirs of Sister Lucia, author Luiz Sergio Solimeo offers the readers an insightful and detailed account of their story, Our Lady's message and its continual relevance for our times. Fatima: A Message More Urgent Than Ever | Luiz Sérgio Solimeo

I haven't gotten a lot of reading done this weekend because the International Traveling Pilgrim Virgin statue of Fatima was out my parish in Bedford, VA this weekend. I was a member of the committee preparing for the event, so Friday afternoon/evening and Saturday morning were a hectic blur. Quite time in the sanctuary last night was so peaceful and relaxing. It recharged my spiritual batteries. Today, I plan on wearing my PJs, laundry, & reading.
