George vs George is a picture book written and illustrated by Rosalyn Shanzer. It is in the NF genre and would be best utilized using the PR strategy to really focus on each side of the American Revolution. This book tells the story of the American Revolution by presenting both sides; George Washington‘s and George the lll.

UDL 7.1 optimizes individual choice and this book combined with the learning strategy will allow students this choice by letting them choose which side they want to represent. #ucflae3414su19 5y
DrSpalding Meagan your web resource is excellent! You understand how easy it is to align quality books with effective strategies that can meet the needs of ALL students. Beyond that, you are selecting books with Social Studies themes that could be used to teach required SS topics. This topic aligns to grade 5. This standard aligns beautifully: http://www.cpalms.org/Public/PreviewStandard/Preview/3049 5y
MeganKlein @MeaganM, thank you for providing the resource about PR! I learned so much more about this teaching strategy and how it can be utilized in the classroom. This book seems very interesting and one that I would love to have in my own classroom library. It's important to have a good variety of books across all different genres, and I can see this book standing out to students who really enjoy learning about United States history! (edited) 5y
