It took me a month of intermittent reading to finish this book, but it covers a lot of ground. I very much like the DK series "Big Ideas Simply Explained" in how clearly they are structured and how they cross reference chapters that belong together or complement each other.

Soooo... I added a Kobo reader (used off of eBay) to my device family recently, because of the more open file platform. A lot of German books that I am interested in are only available in ePub. So far I really like it. #firstworldproblems

This is an entertaining read. I liked how it covers major events in history from all corners of the earth. Most of my knowledge of history is from US history and Western Civ, so it was cool to read about major events in Asian or Middle Eastern history. A good read for any history lovers out there.
