I always love Calvin‘s snow creations. Those & Calvinball are always some of my favorite strips🥰

bookandbedandtea The snow creations are, hands down, the best! I also love the conversations they have while sledding. 5y
Redjewel_7734 @bookandbedandtea I love those too! And the philosophical epiphanies in the forest walks 😊 5y

Calvin and Hobbes, Garfield, and Far Side were my fave newspaper comics. Yours?

meltedsquirrel Bloom county! 7y
LectricSheep I loved Garfield when I was a kid! I cut out the strips and taped them to my bedroom walls-- not the best interior design choice I ever made. 😅Did you ever read Pearls Before Swine and Get Fuzzy? They were two of my other favorites. 7y
kspenmoll Doonsbury, Calvin & Hobbes😂 (edited) 7y

Suzze Far Side, For Better or For Worse, Calvin & Hobbes, Get Fuzzy. I loved For Better or For Worse, as it was a family and the characters grew older as it progressed. One of the kids was the same age as my youngest, and he did every funny thing my son did at the same time. And when he left for college right when my son did, the comic strip mom had a hole in her heart just like mine. 7y

Tuesday afternoon sickbed reading. I'm halfway to being well & trying to rest a bit so I'll have energy to make food for all of us tonight (homemade vegan pizza from scratch 😋), so it's an afternoon of Calvin & Hobbes while listening to podcasts in the background. 10/10, would recommend for anyone needing a sick day (or a sick half-day, I guess!).

bmsddk Wishing you speedy healing! 7y
BookishMarginalia Hugs & positive vibes! 💜 7y
GlitteryOtters @bmsddk thank you! Being sick while traveling is so annoying (there is so much I'd rather being doing right now...I don't get to visit my old hometown often!). 7y

GlitteryOtters @BookishMarginalia thanks! Books always help, right?!💕📚 7y

GlitteryOtters @Suzze thank you!! 7y
ValerieAndBooks Feel better soon!! 7y
bmsddk Ouch, sounds like Calvin and Hobbes is a good choice for that situation! What podcast are you pairing with it? 7y
GlitteryOtters @bmsddk I have fallen behind on my podcast listening while on vacation, so I have been listening to a few. First, Welcome to Nightvale (which was a very odd, yet interesting pairing!), then a tiny house podcast, now I am catching up on some news podcasts. 7y
GlitteryOtters @ValerieAndBooks thank you!! I have 3 Calvin & Hobbes e-books I picked up on sale a few months back, so I am working my way through, re-reading all of them. Comics therapy while sick is the best! 👍👍 7y
ValerieAndBooks It is...laughter is the best medicine after all. BTW when my two oldest were in HS, they were friends with a boy named Calvin. Turns out his middle name is Hobbes -- his parents were/are big fans. 7y
GlitteryOtters @ValerieAndBooks that is perfect! I had a friend who discovered Calvin & Hobbes while studying in the US as an exchange student, he used to threaten that, if he had sons, he would name them Calvin & Hobbes (in Russia, where he is from, your middle name is a patronymic based off of your father's first name, so there was no middle name option for him! 😂😂). 7y
Centique Yay Calvin & Hobbes! I should have remembered them for Favourite Friendship too 😁 I won a Hobbes toy at a Calvin & Hobbes book launch many years ago - I must go look for him (he's been living in the cupboard under the stairs so there's a chance he may have defected to Hogwarts) 😂 7y
GlitteryOtters @Centique definitely one of my favorite friendships! That is awesome about the toy and, yes, I bet he is totally at Hogwarts by now! 😂 7y
