Suddenly, theres reason to hope again, and it rests within a group of genetically engineered children that are both human and Variant. This is a great dystopian sci-fi. It's vaguely reminiscent of The Andromeda Strain mixed with City of Ember, but it goes a different direction. It's an intriguing read, and I'm looking forward to the next in the series.

"Real power isn‘t dealt in bullets, darlings, but in words. Words that stir a man to stand when all the rest have fled…to fight unwinnable wars, all for the sake of a thought. Every leader who made a difference didn‘t do it with a sword or a gun, but with a voice that might have moved a mountain."

Just started this book and so far it looks promising!
Love me some post-apocalyptic dystopia. :)
