@Dragon reminded me of this series and it was the perfect #romantsy break I needed 😍

This is the first in a series called The Survivors Club. There are six men and one woman wounded in the Napoleonic wars who recover together at a large estate and become friends. This book then follows Hugo the big, burly, grouchy looking soldier with the heart of gold - I‘m a sucker for that trope. This one is 90% romance and relationship/10% steamy stuff.

Love this series! I am going to reread them in order except for the 5th book which I have on hold.

Just lovely. Both hero and heroine were well developed and the story moved along at a brisk pace.
