so-soMy second book by this author, the first was The Air He Breathes...which I absolutely loved. It ripped my heart out and put it back together. I think this book lost me with the weird, oft times cheesy banter between the two MC's and their inner dialogue...their decisions didn't always feel authentic and I just couldn't relate to them.
pickBeautiful, tragic and hopeful, I loved so much about this book. Logan and Alyssa are both so broken yet despite the challenges they face from the destructive circumstances of their lives, they manage to find strength in each other to survive and thrive. What an emotional journey it was watching them navigate through the pain and destruction of their fragile lives toward a path of wholeness and happiness. This story reeked havoc on my emotions.

pickI inhaled this! I mean, I had that "I can't put this down" feeling that forced me to stay up late to read, then I reached for my Kindle along with my coffee this morning.
I LOOOVE when books make me feel that way.
This is NA contemporary with romance. It is issues-heavy and honestly: a little hard to read here and there. Worth it, tho. I love that this series is comprised of standalones with interesting characters and good development. So good!
