Family vacation in Williamsburg VA. Brought tagged book for reading, when I can😊

Make a great day everyone 😊

Lesliereadsalot Isn‘t it so fun there? We were there on the hottest day ever and felt so sorry for the teens working in the forge! Loved the gift shop where they sold the white dresses. 2h

#ReadAway2024

Catching up on May reviews. This was my #Role100 (#29) book for May. What a dark & twisty ride it was! It definitely items kept me turning the pages to figure out how it would end which was squeezed out in even more twists & turns. It even made me nervous & a bit jumpy reading it at night which I consider a plus. Would you believe this is my first Taylor Adam‘s?! Now I realize I probably need to move the others up my TBR stack.

I liked the mysteries/ reasons for the murders and I loved the setting- on a luxury train through the middle of Australia. But I've already grown tired of the breaking of the 4th wall and the conceit that narrator is talking us through their writing process as the book progresses. Mostly a pick but I'm going to try to avoid this type of plot for a while.

May #TBRTarot (Choose a book written by a male author) #ReadAway2024 #SeriesLove2024 I enjoyed this book. My favorite character is The Huntsman, Grimsby‘s partner. Grimsby is a little difficult to take seriously because he uses phrases like “Puppydog Tails” as swear words. It‘s still a pick because some pretty awful things happen and Grimsby still manages to have specific views of right and wrong. He maintains an innocent nature and helps people.

CBee Puppy dog tails as a swear word 😂😂 8h

I got a kick out of the fact that this one seemed to be inspired by Nancy Drew (and not Silence of the Lambs as I had feared.) The fictional Nancy-esque series featured in this book even had a main character that got knocked out all the time 🤣

BarkingMadRead That‘s epic 🤣🤣🤣 9h

#TheYellowFace

Hi, Sherlockians~
#2 is coming right up! See link below for additional information + a summary (spoiler alert!). Note: “The Cardboard Box“ was actually published between “Silver Blaze“ and “The Yellow Face,“ but the story was completely omitted in the first British publication of THE MEMOIRS OF SH, and we're following that order. We'll discuss why when we read “Box“ later on.

Captured: Buggy sitting in his book nook (closet), reading 4 books at once 😂😍

Also, received this new long-anticipated book (I‘ve met Vladeck on numerous occasions and find him intelligent and engaging… let‘s see if he‘s also a good writer ;))

And the tagged is my chosen book for June for #SeasonalCozies (summer). 🧊🍹☀️🌸🪻
