2.5/5⭐ Eh. A quick, mispell-laden adventure through friendship and life. It felt cursory and didn't really resonate with me. #buzzwordathon

3.5/5⭐ Cute and meaningful without being over the top about it. There isn't too much depth, but there's a lot of heart. The artwork is full of wonderful details. #roll100
Started out slow, ended with a bang. Hated most of the characters, but they made great antagonists.

Catching up with reviews. I'd finished this a couple of weeks ago with #ClassicLSFBC and enjoyed it very much. It's a well-paced and thought-provoking read with themes typical of sci-fi from the Cold War era.

A woman in the Austrian Alps is suddenly surrounded by an invisible wall. Behind the wall the world seems to have come to an end. She lives on in her own little world, surviving with her animals. Despite the apocalyptic setting this book felt somehow soothing. I loved how the woman lives with nature and her animals. Thanks for bringing this to my radar @batsy
#52bookclub24 Here are the next 4 books I've read for the challenge. I tagged my favourite out of the four, which made me think a lot. “Go Set a Watchman“ and “The Magnolia Palace“ were disappointments; “Never Let Me Go“ was sad and depressing but beautifully written.
Thanks to #NetGalley and the publisher for this #ALC !
With elements of mystery & romance & set in Ireland, the story follows a family, the family manor, & a secret that can tear everything from apart. I think I enjoyed listening to the story more, with an Irish voice actress doing the narration. This is the first in a series, so I‘ll be interested to see how the series progresses. A good distraction listen. #52BookClub24 #TheWordSecretInTheTitle
This is a book with very little plot and lots of stream of consciousness. A woman is intrigued by a couple she doesn‘t know but meets every day in a breakfast place in Madrid. One day the husband is killed and she can‘t stop herself from talking to the woman.
Not much more happens yet it is an engaging read with some interesting thoughts.

A unique almost cozy featuring an LGBT male MC…Chase is still mourning the death of his love Doug and decides to take part in a walking tour of Devon, England. He‘s a former police investigator and has to utilize his skills fairly quickly. The murder takes place against a descriptive backdrop. Slight homage to Agatha Christie - very slight, but the twists are there. I read this one in less than 24 hours! #52BookClub24 #TimeFrameSpansAWeekOrLess
