I can see why a lot of people found this one "not very interesting" but for me it was a comfortable escape. The book is long, and not a whole lot happens, but it kept my attention and it was enjoyable. Not for everyone, but perfectly fine for me. Also, the lady who read this one was REALLY good.

It's after dinner reading/wandering the yard time for me and this goofball.

Today's adventure was very draining, so now it's time for a book nap.

My day hasn't been the greatest (people really are the worst sometimes). But! I made and shared pretzels, it's kinda nice outside, and I have a book that always makes me happy (even though it always makes me cry).

This book has been on my "to read" list for about a year now. The cover reminds me of so many other middle grades books that I have loved and I was really excited when I found the audiobook at the library. I'm halfway through and not really loving it. Talk about a major bummer. I'll finish it and judge at the end, but it's not looking good.

I really enjoyed this one. There were a few things I didn't find 100% thrilling (whining and love triangles) but other parts definitely made up for it. There were a few times where I really wished that I was reading instead of listening, just so that I could take pictures of my favorite parts and write SAME all over them. So yeah, that'll be coming soon.

I've never read anything like this before. It was really good and took me a few days to recover after reading it. Definitely my favorite kind of reading experience.

This was more enjoyable than I was expecting, which was a nice surprise. I wasn't super thrilled with the random Christian stuff, but it could have been worse I guess. Still trying to decide if I'll continue reading the series, but I'll worry about that later.

It's been almost a week and I haven't come up with a good review for this one. It's really good and really well written and just...wow. It is a lot. So good.

This one started out interesting, and I really wanted to like it, but I had a hard time getting past the fact that not a single character seemed to think very highly of women. Which, I get it, the characters are awful. Blah blah blah. I just think that there's plenty of more interesting ways to write flawed characters. This just read like a long, mediocre Chuck Palahniuk book.

I cried when I finished this one, not because it was sad, but because it was such a well written, wonderful little world, and it was time to say goodbye. I went in excited but cautious, afraid to encounter that one trope that always seems to pop up when lesbians meet special boys. But this book was so much more than that and I really, really enjoyed it. Definitely right up there with Eleanor & Park on my list of really good YA.

Tiny waterfalls + plenty of shade = excellent reading spot. Finally getting started on this one. I feel like I've had it squirrelled away for forever now.

I really wanted to like this one, but the entire book just felt "off" to me. The parts that were supposed to be funny felt fake and exaggerated, and the more serious parts were rushed in a way that I felt like the author was just itching to get back to writing quirky one liners. The writing wasn't bad, but in the end (and the beginning and the middle) I just didn't care.

I don't know why it took me so long to read this. I think I was afraid that it wouldn't live up to the hype, but I'm so glad I finally sucked it up and just read/listened to it. Today was a bad day and this definitely kept me entertained and distracted.

Finally finished listening to this. I think I can officially call this my last Neil Gaiman book. Not the worst book I've ever read but man, he just really doesn't do it for me. But! Now I can watch the TV show, and THAT I'm excited about.
