Mehso-so

Half way through now. The stories are enjoyable but tame. A lot of environment descriptions, a bit lacking on things happening. Seriously though: more periods, less commas. Having sentences run on for four or five lines of text doesn't make it more prosaic or whatever. It just makes it annoying.

I moved slightly to my left, certain that it was about to rush me yet again, angling my body, positioning myself in a way that no one had taught me, because I do occasionally have original thoughts.

Been reading this for the last two days, it's great! A man tries to solve the mystery surrounding a war hero in the war between humans and the Ashiyyur two centuries ago. So sci fi with a generous helping of historical mystery, marrying three genres I really enjoy.

Good sentiment when I finished the book. If we could do a bit more of not-destroying that would be splendid.

Down to the last 90 pages. I've been taking my time reading this. Several months, in fact, because I don't want it to end. Fortunately for me, there's more Locke available :)

So, Captain Blackbeard and I were reading tonight, and this book is fantastic. It's like watching MythBusters but then in book form. Explosions and mass mayhem everywhere! :D

Yissssss! It was on my (never ending) list and yesterday I stumbled across it while browsing the train station book shop waiting for my train. Started it right away on the train and so far it's very funny and interesting.
