bailedI really wanted a good steamy romance and I have just gotten over my leg being snapped in half, so I thought this would hit me in all the right sobby places, but 3 chapters in I had to bail. Every couple pages it was Trump supporter this and millennials that and I was so annoyed that I just returned the book to the library. I'm really glad I didn't buy this book or I would have been angry and disappointed.
pickI went into this book not knowing it was the origin story for the sea witch from the little mermaid, I really didn't look at the cover, I was just looking for an ocean story. This book took my breath away and shook me up. I wasn't prepared for a sad ended and it hit me hard.
I'm giving it shot lol. Dickens is not my favorite but I'm going to read this.
Oh god I have to give myself a break from this book. This is not for the faint of heart by any means.
