I would recommend everyone own a copy of this book. I pull it out for timely advice. Cheryl Strayed, in her avatar as Dear Sugar, really gets to the heart of the matter in her straightforward manner while still using some of the best prose I've read.

One Hundred and Four Horses | Amanda Retzlaff
Pickpick

I loved this book. It was heartbreaking to go through this journey and I had to put the book down a few times before I could continue on. But what a true story - there is so much out there that people overcome that one cannot imagine sometimes. If you're an animal lover especially, prepare yourself.

It started out a slow and sometimes confusing read for me. But once I got the hang of it and as the stories progressed, I could not put the book down. It was good to read a psychological suspense of sorts.

I really enjoyed reading this book - following the thoughts and life of the characters. There is an innocence about the narration.

My Life on the Road | Gloria Steinem
Pickpick

It was a treat for me to read this book and join Gloria Steinem on her journey across the years. There is still so much work to be done. However, it's amazing to see how far along we have come. Conversation; talking circles; shared experiences is definitely the way to go.
