Mehso-so

In this novel, the famed myth of Orpheus is retold through the devastating story of two teenage girls who are sent away to a conversion camp in Texas because their families think of their sexuality as an illness. However, the camp is far from helpful, and only strengthens their bond. It quickly turns into a tale of survival as they struggle with their waning identities and their plan to escape. Continued in the comments.

kyleigh.mcNabb If you like books that are sad but meaningful with romantic undertones, this book is for you. This book is told from a first person point of view. We know this because the story is told through our protagonist's thoughts and feelings. There were some obvious problems with the narrative like the uneven detail and irrelevant explanations, as well as the lack of personality given to the characters, which really should be a main part of the story. 13mo

Pickpick

This novel surrounds four women who are drawn together again thirty years after university by a tragedy. Struggling with their past, society and this new disturbance, there comes a beautiful and thought provoking novel about endurance, freedom and life. I recommend this book for people who like books with realism, dark topics and a powerful narrative.

MissYaremcio Oooo this looks excellent! I was just missing the theme and how it was established. 4/6 1y
