Pickpick

Bill Bryson has made the perfect introduction to non-fiction. This book is informative and entertaining. Would recommend to readers of all genres.

Leonardo da Vinci | Walter Isaacson

Mehso-so

Walter Isaacson does a fantastic job of making his subjects human and relatable, however he takes quite a while to do so. This book is very interesting and I would recommend it to a friend, but be prepared to spend some time getting through it.

The Red Pony | John Steinbeck

"The people of the valley told many stories about Junius. Sometimes they hated him with the loathing busy people have for lazy ones, and sometimes they envied his laziness; but often they pitied him because he blundered so. No one in the valley ever realized that he was happy." - John Steinbeck

Easily going from innocence to brutality, Steinbeck creates beauty from heartbreak in the most simple of stories. Great book.

Franny and Zooey | J.D. Salinger

"An artist's only concern is to shoot for some kind of perfection, and on his own terms, not anyone else's. You have no right to think about those things, I swear to you. Not in any real sense, anyway." - J.D. Salinger

A bold story with characters that seem real through their obvious flaws, Franny and Zooey is captivating in that it feels both plausible and surreal at the same time. Definitely worth the read.

"As far as I know, I was also the first person to ever relieve his bladder on the Moon, which I did immediately after jumping off the ladder of the lunar module" - Buzz Aldrin

Great book by a great man, Buzz is very transparent and genuine in this book and I would recommend the read.
