My book pen pal sent me this book and I am loving it. I can relate to something on almost every single page!

The hours before dawn were the sacred time, before the intellect rose from slumber. At this time one's inner voice could be heard.

I put off reading this one for quite a while, it just didn't sound that interesting, but I was hearing great things about it. I decided to listen to the audiobook during my commute and now I am so glad I waited as long as I did, so I could binge read/listen to the series. Just finished the second book and can't wait to leave for work in the morning and start the third!

Loved this chapter of Andre Aciman's Alibis: Essays On Elsewhere. He starts the chapter by talking about a "hidden nerve" and asking "don't all writers have a hidden nerve? And yet it's also the first thing every writer learns to sidestep..."

We would move at the end of July. I spent the next four months making lists. Lists about money, Renovations, Windows, skylights, kitchens, bathrooms, Gardens, fences, and Dormers. I had enormous lists. They were all about hope. I made them over and over.

So many new books to read! I bought myself a book for Christmas and a friend gave me a book of poetry for Christmas. But those are at home. Sadly. However, I found this in my tote. So this will be today's lunchtime tome. Happy Wednesday!
