The third book in the Old Kingdom Chronicles by Nix. This was definitely my favorite. It was awesome seeing all of the characters from the previous books finally align in the story and kick ass together. Again, very impressive character development, especially with the main characters Sam and Lirael. I just started Goldenhand, the newest book in the series, because the story STILL has me hooked. These characters are my life right now, lmao.

As a predominantly nonfiction reader, I gave it a go on this series by Nix. With fiction, I‘ve always adored anything magic related. Necromancy, mages, the like.. This book series does not disappoint. (I am currently on the 4th book in the series, it‘s addicting!) Strong female protagonists, amazing character development in the entire series, and a great arch that keeps you hooked and anticipating the next books. 10/10!
