Fucking men.

Deep character development and overall an emotional read even if it was pretty slow at times.

One of the best books I‘ve ever read, finished it in 3 days and want to re-read it already. So inspiring. Reminds you to observe all the little details around us that make life magical! Everyone has a story. Everyone has a past. Never judge a book by its cover.

About halfway in I totally skipped the chapters relating to the husband who was on trial for murdering his wife and instead only read those focused on Cam, Allie and Mia. Holyyy shit Jodi Picoult is an incredible author. All of the emotions and thoughts she captures in this love triangle are so believable and the ending is fucking perfect. It really helped me re-look at a situation I was experiencing at the time, for the better.

9/10 stayed up until 2.30am to finish this book in 3 days! Loved the ending. Was satisfying to hear how all the loose ends of different plots were tied up. Great description of a narcissist and how they fuck you up when you get into a relationship with them.

8/10 insightful read into the mind of an autistic man looking for love! Provides a different way of looking at emotions and how our brains work when we choose our partners, how our actions and what they mean to us in our own head can be perceived completely differently to observers. Ron is a heart warming character. Rosie is also likeable. The novel is sprinkled with interesting genetic facts. The side character Gene is a good side plot.

Loved the London setting. Lots of different voices are heard. Lots of twists and turns that are written in so naturally that they don‘t feel unbelievable. The ending makes you want to read the next book! You gain an insight into what might be going on behind closed doors and the potential dark paths that the super rich can go down. Libby is surprisingly very relateable!!

This was a crime thriller novel that I picked up at a hostel I recently stayed at in Switzerland - I don‘t usually go for this kind of book but it was the only English one there! It was an easy read and entertaining following all the different characters. I felt like there were a couple of storyline‘s that didn‘t loop up as nicely as I would have expected but overall not a bad read.

I read this book in 2 days. It was captivating and incredibly moving. The human spirit is so strong and even under conditions that are impossible to imagine, the mind can find peace. Amanda and Nigel went through a horrific kidnapping and this story describes Amanda‘s experiences which brought me to tears on several occasions. The forgiveness and compassion she showed was truly inspiring and I will reflect back on this story in my day to day life.

A mind forever young / Voyaging through strange seas of thought alone. (Isaac Newton as described by William Wordsworth)

This book was emotional, informative, captivating and beautifully written. I finished it in tears and with a new appreciation for what people endured during World War 2.
The women in this book are full of grit, love, passion and bravery. These pages capture a side of the war we often don‘t hear about. This is a must read to remind ourselves of the suffering people went through to give us the lives of freedom we live today.
