A great concept but poor execution. I thought this would would be a really tense read but really it was a lacklustre story with grating characters and an underwhelming end. A shame but never mind. Someone should make a horror version.

New to the kindle. Looking forward to reading this and then seeing the film, mainly due to the brilliant Emma Roberts being in it. Maybe a bit YA, I'm not sure, but I love the concept. I just need to hurry and finish my current read!

The premise of this of this had me straight away, so far seems more supernatural than I was expecting. Intriguing thus far...

Syd Moore has effectively created a ghostly who-dunnit with the drowning pool. I thought the historical elements were great and the crime story was decent, but the main character was a little erratic and being as it's pegged as a ghost story, I was hoping for a few more chills. Enjoyable but not incredible.
