This was a very good book, but it left me feeling disgusted. Disgusted with the people who failed to properly prepare a disaster plan. Disgusted with the people who made terrible decisions during a disaster while knowing they had better options. And utterly disturbed that not a thing was learned or changed.

A tale that wonderfully illustrates one of the many reasons that nature conservation is so important.

I usually love stuff from Marjane Satrapi, but this just didn't hold my interest like her other graphic novels have.

Good information, but the writing was a bit dry.

Great story with a very frustrating outcome.

The fact that no criminal charges were ever brought against Harold or any of the companies involved after such an utter disregard for the driver's safety just disgusts me.

More about her friendship with her one of a kind coworker than her field of study, but fantastic all the same.

A final bit of wonderful from Hitchens.

I now feel equal parts of motivation and helplessness after reading this book. While making a mental list of things to do to repair the damage done to our broken political system, I found myself having micro-panic attacks about what must be a great many things already in motion that we are not yet aware of.
