I grabbed this because I liked the colors and it was on sale. It's a real quick read, just a collection of short stories. It was just entertaining enough. I read it while I was waiting for my car to get an oil change and then when I was waiting to pick up a lunch I ordered- and it was perfect for that.

This series is so well done, I was/am obsessed and enraptured! The story and the characters are so powerful, there are so many unanswered questions, so much mystery and marvel. I have endless questions, it's truly epic!!!

If you enjoyed Harry Potter and any Tolkien books, you will LOVE this series. On my 34th birthday, I got my wish of reading this whole book straight through (relatively undisturbed). That was the second time I had read it. It's one of the best!

With every page, I have become more and more invested in each of these characters! There are so many wonderful mysteries, so many spooky characters and interesting dark histories! I love this series!

What a journey this series was. I am still surprised at how dark it was, being meant for children, but it was thoroughly enjoyable. I love the hope it instilled, the values, the perseverance, the friendship and loyalty you feel through the characters. Haha, there were of course many times when I thought a little bit more should have come to the bad seeds, but that's just not what this is about, it's it's beautiful the way it is!

This series truly has it all, you laugh, you cry, you lose faith and regain it. I loved this book in particular because it really develops a lot of characters that are fascinating but perhaps not previously much of a focus.

Ok, this series is for gluttons for punishment. I wept! WEPT!!! Honestly, the stories are beautifully told, you can truly imagine this world so well that it becomes a total personal experience. The details are amazing and I love all the little tie-ins that seem subtle at the time. Obviously, I am deeply invested. Emotionally and otherwise.

Oh my gosh, I ended up really having a crush on Sirius! It's sort of fascinating how these stories make you long for the sweetest, most innocent kinds of love! Heart-wrenching!!!

Wow, J.K. pulls no punches. Whew, this child, the injustices! It's a bit hard to take at some points because you just want to intervene in this fictional life! I do love the magic, fun and exciting!

I decided to read this series to relate more to my 11 year old nephew. Whoa- I was surprised how dark this was for a children's book. Still, it was quite epic and exciting!

Love Warrior: A Memoir | Glennon Doyle Melton

This book was a gift and I wouldn't normally pick something like this up, but I did enjoy the brutal honesty the author used to share her story. I didn't relate to her specific set of obstacles, but the way she exposed herself and her vulnerabilities was deeply relatable, which later came to be inspiring. The book was a great reminder that all that stuff we already know about being good for us is really good for us!
