This book uses masterful reporting to tell the stories behind the hearts and souls involved in the 1999 school shooting. I have never read a book so vivid and nuanced that was non-fiction.

This is my new favorite book. It captures America through two very different perspectives and tells an incredible story of love, faith, and renewal. It was an absolute pleasure to read.

This book is hard to rank because parts of it are wonderful, very engaging, and deeply moving. However, Samuel Clemens knew that this would only be published after he died so he took no care in editing the content. This book brings out his raw person throughout the ups and downs of his life. Ultimately, I‘d say it‘s great if you‘re a Mark Twain fan, not great if you‘re looking for a gripping classic.

Last six chapters are worth their weight in gold.
